I’ve been here before! I found a pic of myself in March 2018. It’s the thing to do in Jerez and, judging by the number of visitors, they make as much from guided tours as they do from selling sherry.
We went around in a little red train, stopping from time to time at various cellars, for both brandy and sherry. It’s the most visited winery in the world.
The white Palomino grapes grow best in the soil north of Jerez:
The American Oak barrels are painted black, so that any leakages will shine. It also facilitates the chalk marking during the production processes.
Finally, we got to taste some:
