Celebrations

My granddaughter turns 18 today. On Wednesday, we celebrated early with dinner at Silks, the upmarket Chinese restaurant at Crown. It was handy for me, as I could walk across and not worry about drink driving. (The police are very keen on random breath tests around the Casino). But it was a very cold night for walking anywhere: down to 4 degrees apparently.

The menu is large and complicated, so we chose the easy way out, in the form of the tasting menu:

 
This is the first of many courses.

We ended up with rather too much food. C asked for a doggy bag, hoping that this would still be allowed. Health and Safety Regulations are getting tightened up everywhere. We were given our leftovers in 2 boxes. (None is going to be eaten by our doggy, I might add!)
